What is the Visionary Leadership Programme?

Our Visionary Leadership Programme is a management development programme aimed at experienced and senior managers. It explores management theories and models and how to use these to improve the performance of the team, the organisation and of themselves. 
It follows the UK’s professional standards and is endorsed by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). This means all participants receive a CMI Endorsed Certificate simply for attending. It is delivered in 3 separate full days. 

What will I learn?

We have created this programme around what business owners and managers perceive is needed for the experienced manager. It includes many of the topics that managers often find challenging without formal training. Click below to find out more:

Day 1 Personal Effectiveness

In Day 1 we explore the need for managers and leaders to be self aware, maximise and reflect on their own performance, be aware of their impact on others, and show commitment to continuing their own personal and professional development.

Topics include:

  • The difference between Management & Leadership
  • Theories and models of management styles
  • The characteristics of successful managers/leaders (including emotional & social intelligence)
  • The role and skills needed
  • Assessment of current skills and those needed for the future

Day 2 Interpersonal Excellence

In day 2 we explore interacting and engaging with colleagues, clients, customers, partners, competitors and other stakeholders. How you communicate and build essential relationships effectively with others impacts interpersonal excellence

Topics include:

  • Interpersonal styles (Colourme Profiling tool optional)
  • Building effective work relationships
  • Negotiating and influencing
  • Having difficult conversations
  • Managing conflict

Day 3 Organisational Performance

In day 3 we explore how to measure the output and results of an organisation, department and/or team and how it has been achieved against the goals or objectives set. 

Topics include:

  • Organisational goals, values and culture
  • Setting goals, monitoring and measuring performance and giving feedback
  • Managing poor performance
  • Leading change
